Lake Parker is located on the north side of Lakeland and is a popular recreation area. Its average depth 5.3 ft (1.6 m) and the water encompasses an area of 2,181 acres. Some of the recreational activities to be enjoyed here include fishing and boating, as well as picnicking and hiking on the edges of the lake. There are three parks, three ramps and two fishing piers open to the public to access the water.

Lake Hollingsworth
Many birdwatchers flock to Lake Hollingsworth, which is known for its excellent bird sightings, especially for Roseate spoonbills, pelicans, wood storks, dunlins and black-bellied plovers. Surrounding the circumference of the water is a walking trail that leads past Florida Southern College where many buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright stand.

Located on the east side of Lakeland, Banana Lake Park welcomes anglers and boaters on the water from 7am to 9pm. Other on-site amenities include a fishing pier, a boat ramps, picnic shelters and walking trails.
